Anthology, a leading Global AI Tech Company, has entered into a partnership with the Federal Government to enhance learning efficiency through Blackboard Technology.
Tahir Mamman, the Minister of Education, expressed during a Meeting with the Anthology Delegation in Abuja that the Collaboration aims to overcome the limitations of Physical Learning capacity and the challenge of accessing credible Learning Materials.
Anthology, known as an EdTech Provider with the largest Global Education Technology Ecosystem, will contribute to addressing these challenges. Mamman affirmed his commitment to supporting the implementation of the Blackboard Technology in the Country, emphasising his belief in the transformative power of Technology in Education.
The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, highlighted the potential impact of the Blackboard in establishing Centers of Excellence across Nigeria, serving as benchmarks for Online Learning Methodologies. He emphasised the importance of being prepared for unforeseen circumstances, citing his experience during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The Blackboard Initiative is expected to enroll approximately 2.2 million Student Users in Nigeria across 253 Institutions, with plans to extend the reach to 3 million Students by including Private Institutions. Echono explained that the Platform offers comprehensive support, managing various aspects from Institutional Administration to Admission Processes.
Joe Belenardo, the President of Anthology, underscored the Blackboard’s Global impact, having been tested and proven effective for Students and ICT Directors Worldwide. The Learning Management System currently serves 6,000 Clients and 150 million Students Globally, with a focus on providing solutions, access to Networks, and Business Development Opportunities.
Ladipo Adedeji, the Country Director and Channel Partner for Anthology Nigeria emphasised that the Blackboard facilitates seamless functioning for Students both Online and Onsite. He highlighted the Platform’s ability to address limitations related to access to credible Learning Materials, describing it as a significant step into the 22nd Century for Nigeria’s Education Sector.
