The Nigeria Labour Congress has replied President Bola Tinubu over his comment on Tuesday’s Protest by Labour which he described as “unacceptable”.
The NLC in a Statement issued on Friday in Abuja, told Tinubu to channel his energy into tackling the enormous challenges facing Nigerians, rather than engaging in rhetoric with the Organised Labour.
The NLC had embarked on a Nationwide Protest on Tuesday over the rising Cost of Living and Hardship in the Country.
NLC President, Joe Ajaero, during the Protest delivered a Letter listing Labour’s demands to the President through the Leadership of the National Assembly.
The Protest which was scheduled to last for two days was however called off on the first day.
President Tinubu had on Thursday, while unveiling Phase One of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red Line, branded the NLC as not “the only Voice of Nigerians” and should contest in the 2027 General Elections if it was interested in joining the Electoral Process.
