The head of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) said the country’s domain name extension, “.ng,” is a valuable resource for businesses and the nation as a whole.
NiRA President Adesola Akinsanya spoke at a training event held in Lagos. He said that a “.ng” domain name can give businesses a strong local identity and help them establish trust with customers.
Akinsanya also said that using a “.ng” domain name can improve a website’s search ranking for local searches and make it easier for customers to remember.
The training event focused on improving digital leadership in Nigeria. Akinsanya said the program is designed to equip leaders with the skills they need to address challenges and opportunities in the digital age.
