Moniepoint Inc., a leading digital financial services provider, has unveiled the “DreamDevs” initiative aimed at strengthening Africa’s tech talent pipeline. The programme, announced by Felix Ike, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, on Tuesday in Lagos, is designed to equip recent graduates with tech backgrounds with practical skills and real-world industry experience.
The nine-week boot camp will provide participants with hands-on training, exposure to advanced technologies, and upskilling opportunities. Exceptional participants will earn internships, with all participants having the chance to secure full-time positions at Moniepoint.
“We are committed to investing in Africa’s future by empowering young people and nurturing the continent’s top tech talent,” Ike said.
He explained that the initiative is more than just a training programme. It aims to create a pathway for graduates to drive technological innovation in Africa. It also aligns with Moniepoint’s vision of using technology to foster innovation and financial happiness across the continent.
DreamDevs will also offer startup incubation and product development support, ensuring trainees become invaluable assets to the tech industry.
“We are thrilled to support the government’s efforts in building a thriving digital economy for Nigeria,” Ike added.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) notes that DreamDevs is part of Moniepoint’s broader mission to enhance Africa’s tech ecosystem and foster sustainable growth in the digital economy.
