Lowell Ufot, Chief Product Officer of Parrotica, has urged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to leverage the newly launched bulk Short Message Service (SMS) platform to enhance customer engagement and accelerate business growth.
Speaking at the virtual launch of Parrotica, Ufot explained that the web-based bulk SMS platform is designed to simplify business communication. Developed by Adela Technologies Nigeria Ltd., Parrotica aims to support businesses through cost-effective and seamless customer interactions.
Ufot highlighted that the platform addresses common communication challenges faced by businesses, such as inadequate infrastructure, diverse customer preferences, and strict regulatory environments. “Research indicates that businesses can lose up to 20% to 25% of their annual revenue due to poor communication,” Ufot noted. “Issues like delayed responses, inconsistent messaging, and fragmented communication channels lead to customer dissatisfaction and lost opportunities.”
Parrotica offers several benefits, including increased engagement with target audiences, cost-effective communication solutions, time-saving automation features, and enhanced customer satisfaction and loyalty. “Effective communication improves customer satisfaction, boosts sales, and enhances operational efficiency,” Ufot added. “This helps businesses build stronger relationships and foster loyalty.”
Emphasizing the product’s importance for MSMEs, Ufot pointed out that these enterprises are crucial to Nigeria’s economy, contributing significantly to GDP and employment. However, MSMEs often operate with limited resources, making it challenging to invest in advanced communication technologies. “Many MSMEs struggle with communication,” Ufot said. “SMS has been recognized as an effective communication strategy with a high success rate, which aligns with our goal of simplifying communication for businesses.”
The platform is user-friendly, and a mobile application is expected to be launched soon, ensuring even greater accessibility for users.
