The Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has announced plans for the highly anticipated COSON Week 2025, a seven-day festival celebrating Nigerian music, entertainment, and culture. Themed Nigeria Will Rise Again, the event is scheduled to take place from May 25 to May 31.
In a statement released on Friday in Lagos, COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji, expressed confidence in the power of Nigerian entertainers and their fans to contribute to national unity and progress.
“We are resolute in proving that, despite our challenges, Nigeria can move forward to become a nation where every child has hope for the future,” Okoroji stated.
The weeklong event will feature seven back-to-back shows held at iconic venues across Lagos. Okoroji described the events as monumental, uniting thousands of COSON members and their supporters to showcase the best of Nigerian music and culture.
Additionally, the festival will serve as a platform to raise funds for the COSON Music Foundation, which supports ageing, ill, or struggling musicians and artists in distress.
“The Board of COSON has approved the hosting of this iconic event and is committed to ensuring its success,” Okoroji said. “Music lovers and entertainment enthusiasts can expect an unforgettable experience, with every detail designed to highlight the richness of Nigerian culture.”
