The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will close on March 8, with no extensions.
In a statement on Tuesday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin emphasised that the deadline, which was set when registration began on February 3, remains unchanged.
“We urge all prospective candidates to register promptly and avoid last-minute delays,” Benjamin stated, highlighting that over 1.5 million candidates have already registered, in line with the board’s expectations.
He explained that extending the deadline would disrupt JAMB’s fixed calendar, which includes examinations, results processing, and university admissions, all coordinated with other agencies.
JAMB advised candidates to complete their registration on time to ensure a smooth examination process.
